Advanced Payment Solutions Ltd (APS) is one of Europe's most innovative payment solutions companies. APS facilitate payments for both consumers and businesses and, in partnership with the Co-operative Bank, now also support payment solutions for government councils throughout the UK.

APS (and wholly owned subsidiary, APS Financial Ltd), are partnered with MasterCard as well as being a principal member of Visa. This provides a diverse set of payment applications to enable customers to both pay and be paid.

The Board of Directors

Jim Jones, Chairman

Jim has over 35 years of senior management experience in the banking, consumer lending and payment processing sectors, gained at very well respected companies, such as Citicorp, Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Providian Financial.

He is currently Chief Executive at AccountNow, a leading prepaid card issuer in the USA. Jim also serves on the boards of Merchant e-Solutions, Bora Payment Systems and Community Lend and has previously served on the boards of Visa (USA), Signio (purchased by VeriSign), Bank of America NA (card bank) and BA Merchant Services. He's also been a member of an advisory board with MasterCard®.

Rich Wagner, Chief Executive Officer

Rich is founder and Chief Executive of APS Financial Limited (AFL), as well as APS. Rich has over 20 years of card experience, including specific experience in launching and managing high-growth payment card businesses in the UK and US. Prior to APS he was an Executive Director in the creation and sale of a major UK card portfolio within just three years of operation.

Donald Dixon, Director

Don is co-founder and Managing Director of Trident Capital. Don has been an investor in Verifone, Bank of America Merchant Services, Affiliated Computer Services, CSG Systems Inc., Signio (sold to VeriSign) and Merchant e-Solutions. Before becoming a major investor, Don was a Vice President of Morgan Stanley & Co and a Senior Account Officer at Citibank, N.A.

Executive Management Team

Robin Dear, Finance Director

Robin Dear has over 26 years experience of managing finance functions, of which the last 12 years have been at senior director level in business and consumer organisations. His career includes Director positions with Citibank, Diners Club and Universal. He also has extensive experience in the SME sector, including a company turnaround for an equity backed management buyout.

He is the Finance Director of both AFL and APS.

Najlaa Taqi-Eddin, Marketing & Sales Director

Najlaa Taqi-Eddin has over 18 years of consumer financial services experience both in the UK and US. She also has over 12 years experience in marketing with expertise in cards, loans, mortgages and insurance. Najlaa has held a number of senior director level positions in the UK and was an FSA approved person for over eight years. She has worked for a number of Blue Chip companies including Barclaycard and GE Money, as well as successfully setting up and managing a start-up subsidiary company in the UK which sold for a 20% premium.

Paul Schooley, Pricing and Risk Director

Paul has over 15 years of experience in the US and UK of holding senior roles in credit, risk and pricing optimisation for unsecured payment products. Through data mining and segmentation, Paul has facilitated significant revenue growth for companies such as NatWest, Providian and GE Capital.
